I always think of walking as one of the few activities you can do for free - and now you can with this guide!

Walking, Hiking and Outdoor Shops

B&M Bargains Store

Launceston Retail Park, Hurdon Road, Launceston, Cornwall PL15 9DA, UK – 0330 838 9086

Brilliant place. Really good value for money! Great for house revamps on a budget, and household staples. Love it. Quality varies but usually better than you'd think.

Great store! Sells groceries at great prices along with a small clothing section, everything you need to furnish your home, and an ample toy selection.

The Unit Skate Park

Bridge Community Centre, Southgate Technology Park, Launceston PL15 7ED, UK – 01566 778668

Really enjoyed the experience of a small skatepark the size really will nit matter with such a wide range of ramps and from a skater great vert to box section

It's a great skate park but a bit smaller than the original building. But the thrill of riding there makes up for it!

Cowslip Workshops

Newhouse Farm, Launceston PL15 8JX, UK – 01566 772654

Visited this venue for afternoon tea and to visit the shop and workshops. Absolutely delighted by every aspect of this experience including friendly staff, beautiful grounds and gardens and a great cream tea in a characterful and beautifully appointed tea room. Add to the above the beautiful views of Cornish countryside and the magnificent quality of craft works on display - all within the setting of a working farm - and you have a perfect experience. Highly recommended!

Fantastic evening at private hire do. We got Wed and had our reception here 8years ago so cannot fault the team led by Jo. Highly recommend the cafe and all aspects of the business

WalkingWorld.jpg
Another good one. Walkingworld has huge library of guides with a good selection of walks, of varying lengths and grades, pretty well anywhere in the UK. The walks come in an excellent format making them very easy to follow, with photographs to illustrate every important decision point and a proper Ordnance Survey map.

A modist annual subscription gives you unlimited access to all the walks. However you can Pay As Go by downloading indiviual walks.

Crucially you can also find walks France, Spain, Norway, Portugal and Australia!

Camping and Caravaning

Western Meadows Glamping

Western Meadows, New Mills, Under Lane, Launceston PL15 8SN, UK – 01566 248967

Although the weather wasn't on our side we still had great time glamping. Lovely safari tents and Mike and Erika were great hosts. 10 out of 10, A* and a distinction. Really recommend.

Beautiful!
