The Beechgrove Bed and Breakfast and Richard & Jane Herman provided for a memorable visit and whilst I was not there for a long stay, they strike me as being warm and welcoming. This B&B is a little jewel in easy reach of Launceston town centre close to a cosmopolitan shopping experience, nearby park for bracing walks including a dog friendly area, many eateries and parking aplenty. I was all the happier to leave The Beechgrove B&B with a small gift, having gleaned previously unknown facts. I would certainly return and am happy to recommend to you.
Beechgrove turned out to be a real find. The layout was just perfect for us. Our 4 year old had one room, and our 1 year old had another, both next to our own room, and completely private. Everything we needed was provided, from the cot and high chair to a monitor and even cups and spoons. Richard and Jane were so welcoming, and Jane cooks amazing 3 course meals. My husband and I felt we had a wonderful break, having put the children to bed, we could then have a lovely meal in a beautiful room, and then had the television to ourselves - much better than creeping in to a silent room where the children are asleep. The local knowledge of Richard and Jane was great, and we spent a few days in very quiet safe beaches away from the crowds. Every detail was taken care of during our stay. Only a few days this time, but next time we will stay for longer.

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
