Hotels

The White Hart Hotel

15 Broad St, Launceston PL15 8AL, UK – 01566 772013

£60 per night with breakfast included. The place could use some refurbishment, everything is a bit dated with squeak floors throughout. Rooms themselves are big, en-suite with OK beds. Breakfast was probably the best thing about the stay with nothing to complain about.

Very happy time spent at the white hart, good drinks and food, customer services fantastic

Eagle House Hotel

3 Castle St, Launceston PL15 8BA, UK – 01566 774488

Had a great stay. Staff are excellent, room very comfortable. Food and surroundings both top notch. Breakfast and Dinner were both to a very high standard, waiting staff were really good

Wonderful experience! This place has been revived and is a beautifully balanced mix of old and new. It's Georgian construction and historic past combined with elegant furniture and modern efficiency make this a unique and impressive venue. It's location next to Launceston's Castle green and superb A30 connection make this a perfect venue for a party or even just a quick afternoon tea.

Beechgrove Bed and Breakfast

47A Dunheved Rd, Launceston PL15 9JF, UK – 01566 779455

The Beechgrove Bed and Breakfast and Richard & Jane Herman provided for a memorable visit and whilst I was not there for a long stay, they strike me as being warm and welcoming. This B&B is a little jewel in easy reach of Launceston town centre close to a cosmopolitan shopping experience, nearby park for bracing walks including a dog friendly area, many eateries and parking aplenty. I was all the happier to leave The Beechgrove B&B with a small gift, having gleaned previously unknown facts. I would certainly return and am happy to recommend to you.

Near town center and easy to access, with beautiful back garden.

The Winds of Change

Freehouse & Restaurant, South Petherwin, Launceston PL15 7LP, UK – 01566 776988

Lovely, freindly, historical information, cosy

Greetings from Leipzig, Germany! A great pub with a lovely, family atmosphere aura surrounding it. Very friendly & helpful landlord. Fully recommended by us. P. S. Beware of the parrot, she bites! ;-)

Travel Super Market search and compare prices for hotels all over the world. Could also be useful for you. I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!

B & B @ Rose Cottage

5 Lower Cleaverfield, Launceston PL15 8ED, UK – 01566 779292

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
